I purchased a LG refrigerator from Lowes not even a year ago and it has stopped working. I contacted LG and informed them of the issue and have been getting the run around for about 3 weeks or so. I have an extended warranty and nothing. My experience with LG has been awful. Food was lost and insulin has been destroyed. I will NEVER purchase another LG item

This model is terrible. It says it has Wi-Fi but it doesnt. The ice maker didnt have an auto-stop function it just keeps making ice. The temperature control and other controls are minimalistic you cant even adjust the temperature beyond a few degrees.

I purchased this for a secondary refrigerator in our shop. I prepare large trays of different foods and really like the French doors because it is easier to get the large trays in and out of the fridge. There is plenty of room for multiple trays. The freezer has two separate drawers and both have plenty of room for keeping various ingredients frozen. The ice maker takes up minimal space in the top drawer. There is no ice dispenser in the door but really not a deal breaker. I really like the slim water dispenser as it allows for filling large containers. We have an LG fridge in our house with all the bells and whistles and love it. Thats why we went for an LG fridge for the secondary fridge. Overall perfect fridge. No complaints.

Love having two freezer drawers but especially the top drawer is always full of frost. But once it all completely melted and the food was spoiled. Weve tried to adjust temperatures defrost etc. Its been 2.5 weeks of me on chat and the phone with LG customer service with NO resolution no communication back to me nothing. Regret this purchase.

A great find from 2 months ago. The design is perfect it is as if an engineer listened to the consumer. The refrigerator without the ice making water feature in the front door allows for reasonable space for many more items. Allowing larger items to be put on the door is perfect so that the storage space inside is more usable for everyday items accessibility. The fruit and veggie drawers are wide as they should be. This is a consumer friendly refrigerator .

Amazing French door refrigerator

After more than a decade with a side-by-side refrigerator it started to show its age. It was a decent refrigerator but it lacked features of newer models. After doing my research and visiting stores in-person I decided that this LG French Door with Slim Design Water Dispenser was perfectly suited for our needs. After it was delivered and installed I must say that I have been so happy with it The design is perfect The LED lighting really helps to easily find what I need. The two freezer doors is great for organizing your frozen food. I keep the frequently used items in the top freezer drawer and less-used items within the bottom drawer. The drawers open up and close very easily -- so I never have to yank the doors open which was normal with my older fridge. The deli drawer is also surprisingly helpful. In terms of functionality: The interior shelves are adjustable to the point that one horizontal shelf can be shifted with one half higher or one half lower. This is a versatility that I didnt know that I would need -- but I am very happy now that I use it. The slim water dispenser that uses a filtered water system is really nice -- and neither it nor the ice maker take up much space inside. This gives me much more space for food and drinks. The fridge settings on the door are helpful and very easy to understand and use. Even the alert when a door or drawer isnt fully closed is a very useful feature. The door cooling system really keeps those items nice and cool including gallons of milk -- which I like very cold. I also think that the air filter in this refrigerator does a fantastic job of preventing odors. The water and air filters only need to be changed about twice a year and the replacements are inexpensive and found just about everywhere. Plus the water filtration system makes the water from the dispenser taste like very high quality bottled water All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase. Its a wonderful option that exceeded our expectations. I cant even think of any negative things. Other reviews criticized the ice capacity however this is more than adequate for our family -- even when we have guests visiting. In fact we have family members and friends with French Door refrigerators. This is noticeably better than than the models that they bought which were made by other companies. That was important to us. After all a refrigerator is an investment. This LG French Door is a great quality investment that causes me to believe that our family will be using it for years to come

I really like the French door style as I usually need to put in large baking pans to cool or marinate items. There is plenty of room for multiple pans. I also like the slim water dispenser. Unfortunately the technician says that teccontsiners on the French doors will not be cold enough . He says these types dont get very cold I told him thats the purpose of the French doors to be able to put milk juices etc and they dont spoil but he says I should adjust my shelves. I told him i wanted my milk juices etc on the door. I told him I will contact Sams Club again if my products continue to spoil while being on the French door shelves

Same problems as many others. Refrigerator set to 33 degrees will not get below 40 degrees. Had the Refrigerator for one week and the damper motor stopped working. The Refrigerator was 60 degrees inside. Technician came and replaced the air duct assembly now its back to 40 degrees again. A $2500 refrigerator and cant trust keeping food in it.

Got this unit today 4/29/24 and could not add it to the ThinQ app. I understand that it does not comes with Wi-fi capability. But it still should be able to use the app with the smart diagnostics at least. Overall the fridge cools fast and does have some space for our food items. So thats a good thing. Ill readjust the overall rating once they get the app in line with their older non wifi products.

I will not even give 1 Star. Their Tag line is LGLife is Good.in my life they made it as Life is Unfortunatedistressing and regretable.I really regret as to why after months of exploring as to on which company product do I need to invest my hard earned moneythe company breaks my trust.There was some power fluctuation in my community and my refrigerators not one but all the parts have failed Compressor2 evaporators and condenser all at the same time unbelievable.When I call Customer service they say they cannot ship the product overnight as it is not their policy and the product has to be shipped from out of state.I have been without refrigerator for more than 2 weeks nowI have a small kid who takes food therapy and it has been so frustrating as to manage this situatuion.I will never ever buy nor recommend anybody to buy any LG product.Life is bad and sad.

Ive had this refrigerator seven months now. I really enjoy the looks- its very nice with a modern design. Theres space to fit everything It keeps food fresh looong and its ability to maintain the appropriate temperature for the food is on point. No five star due to the ice maker which I havent quite figured out yet but it does not seem to make enough ice and does so slowly. I recall reading this in other reviews pre purchase and well it is so. We are not huge on the ice thing so not that big of a deal but notable. On another note there isnt a light in both bottom portions of the freezer. I imagine there will be in an updated model because it just makes sense to have both sections light up when opened. Overall I would still buy this exact refrigerator again.

Weve had our LG Refrigerator over a yr. now. We love it for the most part. a few things I would like to see on it. The eggs have to stay in the cartons no place to put them. a light in the lower freezer compartment. and its funny I was thinking about this today. We like the alarm tone to let you know that a door is still open. but as we get older we cant always hear that alarm. Make it adjustable so you can bring the tone up louder or lower. Overall we do like it very much it is very quiet when the compressor is running. and we do like the water option on the outside of the door.

From the time this appliance was delivered and set up we have been unable to use the ice or drink the water. We spent months having conversations with customer service and most of those calls were handled outside the US making conversations difficult. We did everything asked of us by LG and still have ice that has a fowl taste when used in drinks and the water stinks and can not be consumed. Water going in the unit is drinkable but coming out it is not drinkable. The unit clearly has a defect and LG is telling us there is nothing that cone be done to correct it.

I purchased my fridge In August 2023. Started to notice that is was not as cold as the fridge I had replaced it with. Waited a few months to see if it would get better and it did not. Contacted LG and had a tech within 48hrs. Reason I am giving them 3 stars I because of the great response but if not it would be a ZERO. There is no reason why a 4 month fridge should have been failing. The tech replaced the mother board and compressor. Leave me thinking of the reliability.

I bought the new 6 months ago it will not cool any contents below 40 degree everything is cool but not cold although the freezer works fine and measures at the exact temp it is set at. I started having milk expand and pop the top groceries go bad in days. Condensation builds up in containers bags and anything covered. Ive owned many refrigerators and never had this problem. I have the freezer set to -4 and the refrigerator set as low as it will go 33 degrees. I called and filed a work order and a tech came out and said everything is fine. I have several different size water cups and containers ranging from a cup to a gallon one on each shelf with a prob in liquid just to make sure and they range rom 40 to 42 degrees in all. I have filled out claims online and called tech support and the warranty number I get hung up on or told to unplug and restart troubleshoot and then hung up on or never a reply. The refrigerator has cost hundreds in lost groceries on top of the near three thousand dollar cost and all I have is a shiny useless hunk of scrap yes its that bad. Now if I call i get hung up on as soon as they ask the serial number. Horrible product and even worse warranty and customer service is non-existent in fact the only to be hung up on repeatedly as soon as you mention and serial number is they know there is a problem and have directed to be more difficult or ignore the customer. To me this honestly sound like a cooperate scam from a company like LG. I am retired military with some physical challenges and do not have the money time or energy to keep shopping for food every day because I cant buy a new one and cant use the one I have. Do not buy and avoid at all cost and if this is how LG treats a customer with a defective product I must also recommend avoiding the company altogether. I honestly and seeking legal advice I can search the web and see similar complaints on this model across the web so I know I am not the only one with this problem.

This refrigerator has loads of room inside as there is no ice maker in the refrigerator part. The ice maker is in the top freezer drawer and deposits ice into a tray. Its nice to have a slim water supply on the front of the refrigerator as it allows easy access to water. It also has a lockout to prevent accidental water discharges if needed. We have found we do not need the lockout feature. All in all a nicely designed refrigerator.

If I could give. LG less than any stars at all I would Horrible customer service We had a brand new refrigerator that had 6 service calls in the first month. Asked for a refund and was required to jump through hoops at each call and they claimed to have lost the information. When I said look again they found it. This was the standard response on each and every call. Finally demanded to speak with a supervisor and was told that the response would be the same. So long story short after a month of fighting they did refund to purchase price but refused to come and pick up the clunker. We would have to pay someone to come and take it away. They did not compensate for lost food or anything else. Will never buy another LG product

We bought this refrigerator slightly over a year ago and it had a warranty issue. The light for the front door burned out. If it was not under warranty I would not have fixed it as it does not have anything to do with the operation of the refrigerator. We purchased it through Costco and probable due to this there was no service available for our refrigerator. They gave us the option of repairing it myself or getting a full refund/replacement. I chose to repair it myself. Im pretty handy when it comes to doing this type of thing and had no problems with repairing it. I do wish however that they would send some instructions about how to remove the display panel etc. I figured it out but was a little concerned at first. I didnt want to break anything else. Mission accomplished.

I bought the refrigerator on September 2023 and so far I have called 9 times to complain about the same issue freezer makes frost on the rail. The technician came and changed parts but the problem continues hes coming one more time now to change other parts.

I purchased this 6 months ago and has been a great purchase. It is very roomy and designates plenty of space for food storage. I like the ice maker compartment in the freezer department which does not take much unneeded space for food or drink storage like other refrigerators that have the ice maker in the fridge department. I love the look of my kitchen now that I have new LG appliances My 4 door French Door refrigerator is stunning and very conveniently designed. The ease of space saving from the deep door storage to the slim line pull drawer beneath the large produce bin drawers are perfect for grain and nut items that normally would not be as accessible and readily seen. I especially like the ice bin as it is readily available for party/ gathering needs. The no-print stainless is also a wonderful feature.

Great frig but terrible ice maker

We bought his frig a month ago. We love the refrigerator Its spacious and well-designed. However from day 1 we have had issues with the ice maker. It covers in frost and will not make ice. We are a family of 5 and need ice to fill up water bottles for school and work. Overnight it will make about 10 cubes. The ice maker is very disappointing. We have called LG and did online chats 5x for many hours. LG keeps sending us the same info via text - all strategies we have tried multiple times. We have done everything they recommended: dethaw freezer wipe out reset ice maker turn ice maker on/off replace filter check water lines unplug frig then wait and plug in again. The ice maker continues to not make ice. We finally called to have someone come try repair from LG. They told us we may have to pay for the repair. This refrigerator is only 1 month old At this point wed like to try another refrigerator with ice maker in the door and drawer. We love our LG washer and dryer -no issues at all But very disappointed in this LG refrigerator ice maker part. We hope LG can help us resolve this problem -either by replacing the ice maker replacing the refrigerator or allowing us to upgrade to a different refrigerator/freezer.

New fridge October 2023

We bought this fridge in October. We had the fridge delivered and set up by professionals. In the first week the freezer drawer with the ice maker was freezing up with a lot of ice on the side of the drawer. I had to keep chiseling it off. Also the ice maker made 12 ice cubes in 12 hours. We had LG send a service repairman to come and reseal the top freezer drawer. It definitely helped for a while but then it slowly went back to freezing up and not making hardly any ice. We just had had the LG repairman come back and he replaced the freezer drawer rails. Hopefully this time it is good. We are only a family of three and we eat out most of the week. We are not hard on the fridge constantly opening and closing it. We bought LG because we had a very good LG fridge for 10years previous but it was sold with our house when we moved. So we bought this one and it is not as good. I think planned obsolescence is a very real problem. Companies just dont make quality products anymore.

I purchased this refrigerator in June and a few weeks ago I woke up to everything in the refrigerator was spoiled. It stopped cooling. I bought the refrigerator because my current LG refrigerator that I bought in July 2017 stopped cooling in November 2020 after 95 days someone finally showed up to fix it and in June 2023 it stopped working again-so I am probably not the best person to ask for a recommendationconsidering I was told on my first fridge that I would be reimbursed for each day it took for it to be fixed. After filling out paperwork and over 50 calls I ended up with $.00

We bought this refrigerator about a year ago. The only negative that I have about this refrigerator is that the LED light on the front burned out so when we dispense water at night in low light it is difficult to see whats happening. Since we bought the refrigerator from Costco there are no repair people willing to repair it. So LG sent me the required items to repair it myself. I like that because Im a retired engineer and doing this kind of repair is natural to me. The only downside one of the items was damaged in shipping and I have not been able to repair the refrigerator light yet. Waiting on LG service.
