I bought this couple months ago. Delivery process was good from the local retailer. Game changer is the ventless feature long a standard in Europe and Asia. The heat pump is very efficient and clothes come out 100 dry but not hairdryer hot which is essentially what a standard vented clothes dryer is. Takes doubt the amount of time but consums the electricity who cares if it take 90 min to dry a big load while ur making dinner and watching TV...the design is sleek and it runs real quiet

Washes and Dries as It Should

We have had the wash tower for about 6 weeks and have used it on all the different types of loads that we usually do. So far it has done a good job on everything. The ventless dryer does take longer than our old vented dryer but it gets the clothes dry. The default settings for each cycle on both the washer and dryer are almost always what we use. The only exception on the washer is that for whites we up the wash temperature one position from the normal cycle default. On the dryer we found that we had to increase the dry level on position when we do towels and decrease it one position for permanent press. The only real negative has to do with the download function. The advertising states that the washtower can download cycles from the internet and that a downloaded cycle will then be available using the download cycle selection on the control panel. But when we used the app to see what download cycles were available we found none LG customer support confirmed that no such cycles are available. There are cloud cycles but they must be loaded each time the machine is used. We had hoped that a permanent press cycle would be available for download to replace the default rinse and spin cycle.

Weve had our unit for about a month and its been fantastic Clothes coming out clean and dry. Despite all the fearmongering I heard about heat pump dryers I havent found any issues with drying times or quality. If anything - the clothes come out almost too warm sometimes. Weve taken to running it on the delicate setting because that uses less heat and energy and the clothes still come out perfectly dry. Both the washer and dryer are really quiet which is nice because its close to our living space in our condo. Also it fits in our closet perfectly because there arent any bulky vents protruding out the back. Another plus is MUCH lower energy consumption. Our old unit used more than 2 kWh per cycle. According to the LG app this unit has been using about 650 Wh per dry cycle amazing On top of these energy savings were getting a big rebate from our local utility for switching to this high efficiency unit. IMPORTANT NOTE: Seems like a large portion of the negative reviews are due to installation error. I watched the 3rd party installers like a hawk and Im glad I did. Im 90 certain they were going to skip installing the dryer drain hose if I hadnt told them and showed them where it was. Had they omitted that step it would result in extensive water damage. They were nice guys but I just dont think most installers are used to this new tech. They arrived with a dryer vent lol.

I bought a combo washer dryer in November. The unit worked fine for about three months. Then in March the unit had a sensor issue. Because of this sensor issue we need to restart every wash cycle 3-4 times to complete it. This has made this device unusable. We have contacted LG support for the last 2.5 months with zero help. They passed us to a local repair shop Eralux that shows as being CLOSED on their Yelp page. LG help has not connected us to another service provider despite numerous calls. In short the product is bad and not working. The service organization is even worse. I recommend everyone stay far away.

The wash tower is great to use. I have it now for about a month. I have the heat pump version and was concerned that the clothes will be cold and or damp after the full dry cycle. That turned out not to be an issue and the clothes are nice dry and warm when done. User friendly. The only issue with the washtower is the installation. It is difficult. The unit is heavy and it is very difficult to put it on the side carefully without some damage. Also it does not come with hoses or electrical cable. I am fairly handy but it was hard to install the cable.

I would give 0 stars if possible. This has been a nightmare. LG using a third party delivery service that is incompetent. I purchased a LG wash tower 3 weeks ago and still do not have it. They have scheduled me 3 times for delivery and 3 times they didnt show up. They now have scheduled me a 4th time for this coming Wednesday this will be 4 days of work Ive missed trying to receive my delivery. Ive call the delivery service and no help so I turned to LG customer service and all I get is broken promises that a manager will call me back which never happens also. I did receive a text offering a $100 credit for the inconvenience which is laughable knowing Ive already missed 3 days at work and taking off a 4th day to try for delivery again. Know one at LG or their delivery service can give me straight answers OR help only Im sorry well try and do better. Unacceptable this has turned into a nightmare and the worst customer experience Ive ever had in my life

If I could give 0 stars it would be well deserved. I purchased a LG wash tower 3 weeks ago and it is still not delivered. They use a third party delivery service who has scheduled me 3 times I keep taking days of work to be here for delivery and they do they dont show up. They have now scheduled me a fourth time for this coming Wednesday and I have 0 confidence they will show up this time. I have called numerous times to the delivery service no one can tell me whats going on so I called LG multiple times and they say a manager will call back and still no return call. Someone reached out by text to offer me a $100 credit for my inconvenience which is laughable since Ive already missed 3 days of work and this Wednesday will make day number 4 trying to get this delivered. I know and understand customer service and I can truly say this is the worst customer exit my life. Buyer beware

What a headache and a disappointment

I paid over 2K for a washer and dryer combo and I was initially was pleased with them. 7 months later the Mother board died which left both washer and dryer inoperable. I do understand that machines will break but to wait 2 weeks for it to be repaired was a big inconvenience. Going to a laundromat is not my cup of tea being a Disabled Vet.

We waited two months for our unit to be delivered and we are so happy with it Very easy to operate super quiet. The delivery folks didnt really know anything about installation. We needed a longer power cord and no one including at LG knew where/how to get one. We ordered one on Amazon and did it ourselves. Also they did not install the hose that drains the water away from the dryer. Fortunately I knew about this issue from reading other reviews on the LG site. My husband installed it and we are leak free. The haul away service was great since we dont have a truck or any way of hauling oversized things like a washer/dryer to the dump. The thing I dont like is that the hose for the dryer is made of flimsy plastic and seems like it would be very easy to crack it.

The product arrived broken with the drawer falling off and ball bearings on the floor of the dishwasher. The delivery crew who removed the old dishwasher reinstalled it so we can at least have something to use but they also broke it and is now leaking all over the floor when we try to use it. So we are now left with an unusable dishwasher until the replacement item gets here. This is the second time Ive ordered from LG and there was a problem with delivery. The last one the delay took 2 months to deliver and almost daily phone calls to constantly push them otherwise I dont know how long it could have taken.

The WKHC202HBA should be considered the most advanced washer dryer combo on the market but a fatal design flaw makes the bottom drain hose extremely prone to cracking and leaking. As you can see from many user reviews there are numerous examples of this washer leaking. If it werent for the advanced technology impressive appearance and excellent noise control I would give it zero stars. I am being quite lenient. I understand that a brand new product may have some flaws. I am leaving this review and only giving it two stars to bring this fatal flaw to the attention of LG engineers. I hope they will correct it: The Problem: The drain hose at the bottom of the washer vibrates with the spin drum during operation. LGs design flaw does not prevent the drain hose from contacting and rubbing against the edge of the washers bottom structure. This edge is quite sharp and will continuously rub and cut the vibrating drain hose until it ruptures and starts leaking. Our Experience: We purchased the washer in January 2023. Due to stock shortages we waited patiently until May to receive the product. It started leaking in February 2024. We requested after-sales service. The arrogant service technician found a seemingly reasonable excuse to charge us $400. He claimed that this is a household product and not suitable for installation in a massage parlor because massage oil can corrode the drain hose. However please note that the drain hose leak is not corroded but rather cut by the sharp edge of the bottom of the washer. I refused to pay during the warranty period and LG ignored me. Temporary Fix: I have now repaired the drain hose myself using rubber repair glue. Preventive Measures: If you also have this model of washer whether it is leaking or not please take the following measures: Tilt the washer towards the wall and be sure to support it with wooden blocks. It is very heavy and be careful not to let it fall and injure you. At this point you can see the black drain hose at the bottom. Observe the closest point to the edge of the bottom of the washer. You will find the location of the leak or wear. If there is no leak yet please sand down the sharp edges of the bottom structure and isolate it from the drain hose with tape. LGs Poor After-Sales Service: LG has terrible after-sales service. I could not find the parts for this washer on lgparts.com. I plan to find a way to order a new drain hose and hope everything goes well. Recommendations: LG should redesign the drain hose to prevent contact with the sharp edges of the washers bottom structure. LG should improve their after-sales service and provide better support to customers. A great choice for small spaces

It was a four month wait to receive the unit but Ive been using my WashTower for a few weeks so I feel I can give it an honest review. It was selected because of a its small footprint and b being ventless. I also considered an all-in-one washer/dryer but felt it would be too time consuming to complete one load in about 2 hours before beginning a second load. I understood dry cycles on a ventless unit would take longer than a conventional dryer and they do. Im fine with that. It eliminated the need to run a vent to a new location in my home. The lint traps are easy to clean and catch a surprising amount of lint. I dont use fabric softener and have switched over to dryer balls which work remarkably well. Overall the wash and dry cycles do a great job with the normal option being all I need. The heavy-duty wash cycle seems excessively long. The disappointment is how it handles detergent pods. They are not mentioned in the manual but I have plenty on hand and thats what Im using. Unfortunately they do not fully dissolve and leave a gummy residue in the dispenser. I have to wash it out after nearly every use. If I dont sometimes the dispenser is full of both the residue and water. Once Ive exhausted my pod supply Ill switch back to either liquid or powder detergent. The contractor who installed the unit discussed the necessity of a drain pan because I interpreted the LG documentation to indicate it isnt necessary. If youre installing it in an unfinished basement or live in a climate where it can be installed outdoors that may be the case. Mine was going on the main floor making it a necessity. My contractor was able to find a drain pan in a graphite finish that goes perfectly with the color of the WashTower. One of the best things about having this beautiful LG WashTower on my main floor is how my husband promptly gets up as soon as he hears the happy tune signaling the cycle is complete in order to be the one to unload the wash and put it in the dryer. Even better hes the one to unload the dryer and clean the lint trap Im not sure who loves the unit more but Im thrilled to share laundry responsibilities.

I purchased my wash tower just a few weeks ago and I have to say I am impressed. High quality ease of use the way it interacts with the app on my phone are just a few perks. Doing laundry has never been a joy in my life until now. The laundry is actually CLEAN I have always used top load washers with less than satisfactory results in cleaning. This front load does a very thorough job of cleaning all types of loads. From heavy duty work clothes to queen size comforters the results are always the same...CLEAN. The dryer does not disappoint either. I have no negative opinions on this set.

Installation issue missing part

This item has been backordered. When we initially received the unit the correct installation parts were not included from the manufacture. This indirectly caused a major issue regarding the unit flooding. We then were inconvenienced through LG with a wait time to receive the proper part to install the unit correctly. This delayed us being able to use our product for over two weeks. It was very inconvenient regarding this missing part for the ventless wash tower. This is regarding the Dryer drain hose.

I ordered this in January with promised delivery on Feb 6. When the delivery van arrived and the package was opened the tower had a dent at the top right. The driver said he needed to return it to the warehouse and that a new unit would arrive in about a week. When we called to confirm exact arrangements we were told the would not ne a replacement for me until Mar 31. Egad Ordered January. Failed to deliver in Feb. Now delayed to March.

I naively thought the other poor reviews with delivery issues just had bad luck but it seems to be the standard not the exception : I ordered a washtower on Nov 23 and scheduled delivery for Dec 28 I did not receive the unit because it was damaged in transit. I reordered the washtower and scheduled delivery for Jan 25 it arrived at my address with damage to the box and when opened by the delivery team the dryer door was shattered and there was a large dent in the upper right corner of the dryer. RXO the delivery company for LG snapped pictures to document the damage and took the washtower back with them. I immediately called LG to seek a second replacement and was told I had to wait 7-10 days for the warehouse to receive the damaged unit back? I waited one week to follow up and began to get the runaround. After several more calls over the next week I was told by an escalation manager that my original order would be cancelled and I would need to reorder the item??? That makes NO sense to me especially since I havent gotten a refund yet. So I tried to reorder the item online and it is now out of stock and they have no idea when it will be available. It has been 11 weeks since I ordered and PAYED for a washtower that I have not yet received and I will now have to wait even longer. This entire experience has been frustrating and I hope no one has to endure the awful customer service I have gone through. I just want the unit I paid for delivered to my house in complete working order...is that too much to ask??? Oh and I want a sizable discount now for all of the time I spent resolving this and general inconvenience of not getting what I paid for.

I purchased the unit in November 2023 and a delivery was attempted in late January 2024. The delivery team crashed the entire unit ontonga my driveway. This required a re-order. There will be anither 2.5 month delay. Was ordered directly from LG. SO FAR A DISASTER

Against my better judgment I decided to ignore the low rating on this product. Instead I created my own narrative that many reviews here focused on mis-installation or the customer service experience in getting a fix how bad could it be *foreshadow*. As many reviews mentioned the wrong installation lack of a correct dryer drain connection I was determined to make sure I had a better experience. As a competent person I ensured that every step of the installation process was thoroughly followed and I felt confident I would have a good experience. On the first wash much to my dismay we found water under the unit. A detailed check of all connections water lines and drain pipes confirmed no leaking issues anywhere in the back of the unit. But when I used a light and camera to film under the unit during a 45m cycle I watched as drip by drip about 1/4th cup of water slowly leaked from the drum under the unit. It should be straightforward. A manufacturing defect surely LG will jump right on this? Well a week later Id rather deal with 1/4 cup of water leaking than have another engagement with LG customer service. Round and round with customer support agents. They first sent me to a department that would send a repair technician out put aside that Im not keen on a BRAND unit requiring a repair. But once they learned where it was leaking and that it was brand new the Repair Department sent me to the Orders Department and they told me LG should replace it. But then Orders would ask a bunch of condescending questions like Where did you buy it: direct from LG or Who installed the unit? I did or Can you check the connections in the back: I did its not leaking there and then demand they needed a service call before they could replace it. This was a vicious cycle because the Repair Department after going through their troubleshooting 3-4 different times kept telling me they didnt think a service call was acceptable for a brand new unit and theyre going to send me to the Orders team to have it replaced. After hours and days of this cycle and my frustration rising one person pledges theyll get a replacement out only to call back later and renege. Another person I was escalated to put me on hold and then never came back until the call was disconnected and I never received a callback. Ive spent hours trying to get someone to help who has the authority to do something and even after an escalation to the Manager Staff Department Ive been waiting days for their 3-5 business day response to the request and 24-48 hour message replies. Talk about feeling defeated. While the unit is beautiful and aside from the leaking works well be forewarned that there seem to be quality control issues. If youre the unlucky one who receives a faulty unit youre in for a long drawn-out customer support experience which has turned me off of more LG purchases. Im giving 2 Stars for the design and functionality of the heat pump dryer but a leaking unit at this price point from such a reputable brand and the seizure-inducing support experience result in those being the only two stars this deserves. While I await a resolution I hope with enough time LG comes through and sort out its post-sales support processes. But without constant follow-up and keeping on top of them I dont feel this will get resolved. Not to mention any compensation for my time trying to get a fix the annoyance of a service call or needing another 350lbs appliance moved in/out of my house.

Great Product high leak risk with installation

I have very few issues with the product itself. Very energy efficient and great results. The LG app is needed to get the functionality found without an app on similar machines. The main issue is caused by its best feature: the heat pump. We purchased it through lg.com with installation by them and the 3rd party installer didnt understand the dryer had a drain hidden behind a black tab above the water inputs. I didnt know to expect one either so I didnt catch it. There isnt a lot of moisture that leaks out of it so it took a couple months to discover it in our laundry closet. The LG contracted installers took everything with them so I dont know how to get the missing pieces to drain the dryer properly and the unit is sitting idle. I specifically bought from LG.com because the local appliance store wasnt aware that LG even made a heat pump unit so I didnt want them to install it. I expected more from the company that manufactures it. You should buy this unit regardless of my issue Just watch the YouTube video on LGs US Support channel about installation and watch your installers like a hawk. If I could get some help with the missing hose and Y connector I would appreciate it.

I read the reviews on this unit and saw that there were some installation problems that caused leaks. I literally printed out one of the reviews and showed it to the installation guys. They said they knew about it and they knew how to install it. Im doing my third load and its LEAKING ON THE FLOOR OF MY CONDO and if it leaks into units below it will cause thousands in damage.

Ignore the negative reviews. An incompetent installer should not determine the appliances capability/reliability. That said I did do the install myself to avoid the mess. Not a difficult install whatsoever. This thing is GREAT Watched tons of videos before finally pulling the plug on this appliance. LG sold out for a while and it took a month to get to me but it was worth the wait. I needed a ventless washer/dryer to save on money. I was remodeling my home and it would have cost THOUSANDS to reroute the vent in my home so ventless was the easier/cheaper answer. There are newer all in one ventless washer dryers out now that run on a 120v but I decided to stick with this one to separate wash/dry. The washer is your typical well working washer. Its great. But everyones concerns are with the dryer because of the ventless technology. Let me ease your mind and after countless videos on not understanding the damp feeling people complain about you have nothing to worry about. The damp feeling lasts for seconds. Just seriously shake it off and itll be bone dry within seconds. Ventless is definitely the future and I will not miss having a vented dryer any longer.

Hard to get stuff to dry right no temp setting for the dryer e.g. tumble dry low. Theres only less dry or more dry and I dont know if that affects temp in the drum. Things are usually over dry or damp when I open the door. Theres no way to add more time like 5 more minutes you have to run another cycle and just monitor. Also we had a stink issue for the first 6 months dont know what it was we end up running condenser care far more often than recommended. Not sure what that will do to the system long term. Washer part is what it is does its Job.

Terrible experience thus far

First of all we ordered our washer at the end of August/beginning of September and it was out of stock until November 21st. It was delivered on the 22nd and when prepping for some other renovations December 24th we noticed water damage to newly finished drywall. After several checks- it was determined that the new wash tower was leaking. We called the appliance company and they had LG contact us for service. The first company couldnt come out until January 3rd. They arrived at the very end of their schedule window looked at the tower and said they needed two men and couldnt do anything. They cancelled saying they didnt have 2 men available to work on the wash tower. So another contracted company contacted us 1/4/24 took our info requested more info and said their schedule was 10-14 days out and they would call us the day before to schedule the repair. Here it is 1/24/24 and still no repair. We have been spending $20+ a week at the laundromat while we have an $1800 wash tower sitting idle upstairs because we cant get a contracted repair person it to fix it. It literally has done 6 loads of laundry- VERY disappointed with the whole experience. We had hoped for much better service and a much better product. My husband LOVES to do laundry and he was so excited to purchase this product but its left a bitter taste.

The dryer was delivered with a dent and it was never operational The unit needs to be replaced and LG cannot deliver until the end of February Even though we have been told there are units available in the warehouse. Would not deal with LG again. It took seven hours on the phone to even get a solution.

Tips for Day One

A couple of tips when installing: Monitor the installers a majority of them dont know that the dryer needs the drain hose to be installed. Its a simple process but again the installers dont know about it. My dryer drain hose was located inside the dryer. A simple youtube search will save you from the leaking dryer complaint. My installers got frustrated and walked away after i told them about the dryer drain hose. I actually told them Id do it myself. This thing is heavy close to 350 pounds. When installing put furniture movers under the feet and then level the machine before pushing into place. If you have to remove for maintenance or an emergency the furniture movers will make it easier to slide the machine out from the space its installed in. Find the QR code for the machine prior to setting it in place because it makes it easier to set up the wifi link with the app. The QR code is on the back of the machine and again once the washtower is in place you wont want to have to move the machine to get to the QR code. If it is in place you can actually still connect it without the QR code. Speaking on the wifi setup the initial password for connecting the wifi will require you to enter the last four digits of the washtower2---- password twice. So the last four digits will need to be entered two times to connect to the network. So far the machine has been good. Did a small load nice and quiet. The dryer took a long time but i will figure out how to make the dry time shorter.

Nice Quiet Laundry pair

We bought this laundry pair because of the ventless evaporative dryer technology and the shallower footprint it allowed in our limited space. So far we are very please with the performance of both machines. They are MUCH quieter in operation than our previous only 5 year old machines and clothes come out of the dryer softer than they did with the hot air dryer. The only reason we are not giving it 5 stars is that the process of purchasing/receiving it left much to be desired. When shopping online the LG website indicated it could be delivered within a week but when we placed the order the date was a month away. OK. Then the delivery contractor after confirming our delivery date eight separate times cancelled at 5pm the day before. Delivery was rescheduled 2 days later but the delivery/installation team clearly had never set up this type of dryer before and did not know how to set up the drain. A second team had to be sent 3 days later. Thankfully the product has so far turned out to be excellent.
